Pentreath & Hall occupies a small Victorian shopfront on Rugby Street, a quiet Bloomsbury side street near Lamb's Conduit Street. It was opened in November 2008 by architectural designer Ben Pentreath and decorative artist Bridie Hall, initially trading as Ben Pentreath Ltd before taking its current name in 2013. The shop sells homeware, ceramics, textiles, prints and small furniture, mixing new pieces made by British and European craftspeople with antique and vintage finds chosen for colour and character. Stock changes frequently, and the two owners are closely involved in what is bought and displayed rather than running it through a wider retail team. There is no second branch or online-only sister shop; everything is sold from this single Rugby Street address, where the window display is changed regularly and is something of a local fixture in itself.
