Prendergast Butchers trades from Bryn Capel on the edge of Haverfordwest, run by Chris and Rachel Wolsey, whose family has farmed in Pembrokeshire for close to fifty years. Beef, lamb and pork sold at the counter come from the family's own herds and flocks, with beef dry-aged for a minimum of thirty-two days before butchery. The shop also stocks poultry and game, including chicken, duck, turkey and rabbit, plus prepared meals, dairy, bakery goods, vegetables and preserves sourced from other Pembrokeshire producers. Prendergast holds Farm Assured Welsh Livestock and Little Red Tractor certification alongside Soil Association status, and carries a five-star food hygiene rating. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from half past seven in the morning until half past five, closed Sundays.
