RD Glass

Roxanne Denny has produced handmade fused and cast glass under the name RD Glass since 2008, working from a home studio at Brigham, near Cockermouth. Pieces are built up from layers of glass fired in a kiln rather than blown, and the range covers bowls, coasters, candle holders, jewellery, wall art and small sculptures, many drawn from Lake District landscapes or geometric and space-inspired designs. Denny also runs glass fusing courses and taster sessions for visitors wanting to make their own piece, and takes on commissions. The studio is open by appointment rather than to passing trade, so visits are arranged directly with her by phone or email. Work is sold online and through a small number of local stockists, with the studio remaining a one-person operation rather than a larger workshop.
