Rhubarb occupies 25 St Mary Street in Kirkcudbright, opposite St Cuthbert's Church, and is run by a mother-and-daughter team, Carolynne and Brenda. The shop stocks home décor and gifts including cushions, throws and table linen, pewter picture frames, lamps, contemporary jewellery and scarves, alongside children's clothing, organic baby gifts, Jellycat soft toys and greetings cards. It has been named stockist of the month by textile brand Sophie Allport in recognition of its window displays and range. Rhubarb opens five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, closed Sunday and Monday. The shop sits among Kirkcudbright's smaller independent retailers rather than the town's better-known galleries, and trades as a single premises rather than part of a wider homeware chain.
