Ridgeway Farm sits on Peel Road between junction 4 of the M55 and Lytham, on land the Kirkham family has farmed for seven generations. Helen Kirkham runs the visitor side of the farm alongside her brother John, their father Harry and grandmother Janet, who holds records of the herd's dairy genetics going back more than 50 years. The farm opened to the public in 2019, and early 2024 marked a shift from dairy to beef and sheep production, though the original brick farm buildings remain in daily use. Visitors meet Holstein Friesian, Shorthorn, Montbeliard and Ayrshire cattle alongside miniature horses Crystal and Pearl, goats and alpacas named Donald and Boris. The yearly calendar includes an Easter lambing weekend, an autumn pumpkin festival and a Christmas open day, plus school visits and private parties by arrangement. Access is through scheduled open days or by contacting Helen directly rather than free daily entry.
