Seamus Heaney HomePlace opened in October 2016 in the poet's home village of Bellaghy, built on the site of a former RUC barracks. Its permanent exhibition uses recordings, manuscripts and personal objects to trace Heaney's life and work, and the centre also hosts touring literature and music events through the year in its performance space.
