Bryson's stands on Union Road in Magherafelt, in a building that opened as the Fountain Hotel in 1864 and has been in Bryson family hands since Patrick J Bryson bought it in 1939. It is now run by Peter and Patricia Bryson with their son Niall, making it a third- and fourth-generation family free house rather than a tied or group-owned pub. Over the years the premises has been extended into an entertainment venue with several bars across three levels and function space, hosting live music alongside a food offering of traditional bar meals. The business sponsors local sport, including Rainey Old Boys rugby and a Magherafelt football side. Despite its size it remains a single, independently owned venue in the town centre, combining an older public bar with more contemporary lounge and dining areas under one roof.
