The Ballance House is a restored 19th-century homestead on the Lisburn Road at Glenavy, birthplace of John Ballance, who served as premier of New Zealand from 1891 to 1893. Run by the Ulster New Zealand Trust since the house opened to visitors in 1991, it hosts heritage exhibitions, seasonal events and a tea barn, with public opening on summer Sunday afternoons.
