The second of the Inkin brothers' three inns stands alone on the B3306 at Treen, near Zennor, painted a deep buttercup yellow so it cannot be missed. Charles Inkin founded the small family firm in 2000 and his brother Edmund joined him; the Gurnard's Head shares its stable with the Old Coastguard at Mousehole and the Felin Fach Griffin in the Brecon Beacons, three inns kept deliberately distinct. The menu changes daily around fish landed at Newlyn, under head chef Max Wilson, who came across from the Griffin; the 2026 Top 50 Gastropubs list has it at 38. Eight bedrooms upstairs, two or three Cornish casks on the bar and cider from Skreach Farm at Lamorna. Open all year.
