A café-kiosk perched on the harbour head at Porthleven, run by Kelvin Batt — also the man behind the Porthleven Food Festival — serving French bistro-style seafood from a tiny kitchen: moules-frites, squid, chowder, with the option of eating out on a pontoon in the harbour itself. Batt employs local young people and has been outspoken about the second-homes pressure that makes keeping them harder each year; he keeps a sideline brewery, Shoals, besides. Inspected and trading through the winter — this is not a summer-only stand.
