The MacGregor family have run the Oatridge, a 200-year-old coach house on East Main Street in Uphall, West Lothian, for more than 40 years. VisitScotland grades it a 2 Star Inn. The accommodation is billed as affordable; the bar opens seven days to non-residents, with guest ales, malt whiskies, a pool table, jukebox and beer garden. Thursday is steak night, Wednesday brings fish specials, and there is an early bird menu.
