Richard Robinson, known locally as Richie the Potter, runs The Pot Factory from a shared studio inside Bridewell Studios & Gallery, a former police station on Prescot Street opposite the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Weekly three-hour sessions cover wheel-throwing and hand-building in stoneware clay, with six potter's wheels, banding wheels and a set of studio-mixed glazes available to students. Classes run for both beginners and returning potters, and one-off taster sessions are also offered. Visitors are told to look for the building's large blue metal doors and ring the bell, since the studio sits at the rear of the building, reached via Prospect Street.
