The PuffinGallery

The Puffin Gallery was founded in 2017 by Brigitte Le Boulleur-Spotten and her husband Robert Spotten on Ann Street in Ballycastle. Robert works as the gallery's resident silversmith, designing and making jewellery in gold, silver, platinum and palladium in a space visible from the shop floor, while the wider gallery carries ceramics, glass, textiles, bronze and wood pieces by Irish and Northern Irish artists and designer-makers. The gallery has been included in a national Small Biz 100 list of independent businesses and continues to operate as an artist-led venture rather than a general craft shop, with the Spottens curating which makers' work is stocked. It trades Thursday to Saturday for most of the year, extending hours through the summer, and sits among Ballycastle's small run of independent shops close to the Diamond and the town's seafront.
