Chris and Lisa Timm opened this butcher's shop on Pickering's Market Place in 2023, taking their own farm's beef and lamb direct to customers rather than through auction. Their farm, rented from the Duchy of Lancaster, supplies the counter, and they buy chicken from Nidderdale Poultry in Pateley Bridge and herb-fed birds from Easingwold to round out the range. The shop has its own kitchen making pies, sausage rolls, quiches and cooked meats using their own meat and vegetables. Lisa and Chris run the business with a small team at 43 Market Place, continuing a farming livelihood by selling straight to the public instead of through market auctions.
