Tresillian House

Alison Blythe runs Tresillian House from a house on Dalby Road, a short walk from Melton Mowbray's centre, with two double rooms, a king room, a family room and a twin, all en suite. Breakfast is cooked on the Aga and served in a glass garden room overlooking three-quarters of an acre of grounds that include a natural pond, a bog garden and a koi pond planted with blue cedars and a specimen tulip tree. The garden opens to the public on selected days each year under the National Garden Scheme, with plants for sale and refreshments served outdoors. Dogs are welcome in one room by prior arrangement, and the garden room doubles as a space for small exhibitions and music evenings.
