A Wee Token is an independent gift and homeware shop at 366 Upper Newtownards Road in Ballyhackamore, opened by Karen Paisley on 1 September 2024 after four years of trading online and at weekly pop-up markets. The shop stocks jewellery, homeware, candles, cards, children's items and flowers, curating pieces from more than a dozen small brands and self-employed makers rather than mass-produced stock alone. Paisley started the business from home during a period of enforced closures before building a customer base large enough to justify a permanent shop on the Upper Newtownards Road, in the same stretch of independent traders that makes up Ballyhackamore's shopping quarter. The shop offers gift-wrapping, click-and-collect and UK and Ireland delivery alongside in-person browsing, and runs seasonal events tied to Ballyhackamore's calendar. It centres on locally made and small-brand gifts rather than generic souvenir stock, supporting a network of home-based Northern Irish makers through its shelves.
