Anchor &Hops

Anchor & Hops opened on Walton Road in Stockton Heath as an independent craft beer bar run by owners Chris and Stu. The venue pours eight rotating draught lines and keeps a fridge of more than 200 canned and bottled beers, spanning lagers, pale ales, IPAs, stouts and sours alongside Belgian and German imports, with stock turning over as new arrivals come in. There is no kitchen; the focus stays on the drinks list rather than food. Seating is split between the ground floor and a quieter upstairs area with board games, plus a rear garden for outdoor drinking. The bar is closed on Mondays and opens from mid-afternoon Tuesday to Sunday, extending into the evening from Thursday onward and opening from midday at weekends. Dogs are welcome throughout. As an independently run bottle shop and taproom rather than a brewery tap or managed pub-company site, Anchor & Hops operates from a single Stockton Heath premises with no other branches.
