Black's Nursery &Garden Centre

Black's Nursery sits on the Battleford Road a short drive outside Armagh city, where owner Kevin Black has built a retail garden centre and tearoom around a wholesale plant nursery that remains, in his words, the core of the business. The tearoom serves breakfasts, soup, sandwiches and traybakes to gardeners and passing trade six days a week, looking out over polytunnels and growing beds rather than a shop-fitted interior. The garden centre stocks bedding plants, trees and shrubs grown on site alongside bought-in stock, and a gift shop, Shabby Duck Gifts and Vintage Finds, occupies a corner of the retail building. Black's supplies trade customers as well as passing gardeners, keeping the nursery side working year-round behind the tearoom's tables.
