BTS Concept Store began in 2014 when founder Tracy started selling homeware online and used a five-thousand-pound Start Up Loan to fund a three-month Christmas pop-up shop in Portrush. Trade was strong enough that the pop-up became permanent, and in 2019 the single-site store moved to larger premises at 58 Main Street, where it now sells furniture, lighting and homeware in muted coastal tones with a Nordic-influenced style. The shop curates pieces from small manufacturers and independent designers rather than mass-market ranges, alongside its own small runs of cushions, throws and ceramics. Main Street sits close to Portrush harbour and the town's seafront. The business has been profiled by the British Business Bank as a Start Up Loans case study for its growth from an online-only operation to a bricks-and-mortar shop.
