Dean and Paul took over this Church Street butcher's shop in 2008, bringing 65 years of combined experience in the trade between them, and continue a business trading from the same Coggeshall premises since 1856. Most meat is sourced within a 20-mile radius, with beef brought in from Orkney and sausages and mince made on site. The shop stocks bread from Blackberry Bakery in Stanway, ice cream from Manor Farm in Bury St Edmunds, and a growing range of local beers, ciders and wines alongside the meat counter. Customers can order by phone for delivery or set up a monthly account. Wrapping is paper rather than plastic, with refills available for regulars. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 7.30am to 5pm, closed Sundays.
