Crown Works Pottery occupies a former Victorian mews building at 11 Temple Street, Bethnal Green, founded in 2016 by potter Giulietta Hextall. Hextall trained under Australian master potter Steve Sheridan, completing an apprenticeship in the Blue Mountains before returning to set up the studio. The building holds two teaching rooms, one for wheel-throwing and one for handbuilding, with class sizes capped at ten students. A members' studio houses around twenty-one resident makers working alongside the teaching programme, producing bespoke ceramics sold from the site. Courses range from single taster sessions to six-week programmes and specialist masterclasses run by visiting potters. The pottery operates from this one Bethnal Green address, with no second site or franchise arrangement elsewhere in London.
