Dockers Inn

Kelly Hayday has run Dockers Inn on Wapping Lane since 2019, reopening what had been the White Swan, an early Victorian pub rebuilt on the site in the 1930s and renamed several times since, as a pub with eight guest rooms above the bar. The building was stripped back and refitted during the 2020 lockdown, giving the ground floor pub a plainer, more contemporary look while keeping the decked garden behind it. Rooms come with private bathrooms and a small tea tray, and guests can walk to Wapping Overground station in a few minutes. The kitchen serves a British menu built around a Sunday roast, alongside a Turkish-influenced small-plates selection some evenings. Dockers Inn has no sister venue elsewhere in London, trading only from this Wapping address as a combined pub and guesthouse.
