The Epping Ongar Railway runs on the edge of Epping Forest, reached by a short trip on the Central Line, and is the only heritage railway operating over a former part of the London Underground network, as well as the longest in Essex. On most operating days vintage buses depart Epping and Shenfield stations for the restored heritage stations; one ticket covers bus, steam and diesel travel. Dining trains, driver and signal box experiences, and an Autumn Diesel Gala in September.
