Gibsons of Haddington is a family-run homeware, gift and jewellery shop at 60 Market Street, in the middle of the county town. It is owned by Grant and Joanna Gibson, who took over the shop from Grant's parents and later sold a separate gift shop they had run in Edinburgh in order to concentrate on the Haddington store. The business, incorporated as Gibsons of Haddington Limited in 2012, stocks cookware and kitchenware, tableware and drinkware, gifts, greetings cards, stationery, watches and jewellery, and offers a click-and-collect service to the shop. It is one of a run of independent retailers along Market Street and Court Street that give Haddington its high-street character. As a single-site, owner-run store rather than a branch of a larger group, it functions as the town's general gift and home shop for residents and the surrounding villages.
