Indigo Cafe occupies a shopfront on Eglinton Street in Portrush, a short walk from the harbour and the town's two main beaches. The business took over the premises, previously trading as the Ocean Cafe, in 2018 and reopened under its current name the following spring with a menu built around vegan and gluten-free options served alongside standard cafe fare. Baking is done on site, with traybakes, brownies and daily specials chalked up behind the counter. The cafe operates through the winter as well as the summer season, a point of difference from some neighbouring seasonal operators, and its plain wooden tables and artwork-hung walls draw a mix of locals, dog walkers and visitors passing along the coast road. Seating is limited to a single narrow room, so queues can form at peak weekend times.
