Neill's Hill has traded as a neighbourhood brasserie in Ballyhackamore village for more than 25 years, taking its name from a former railway halt that stood nearby on Sandown Road until its closure in 1950. The restaurant succeeded Alden's on the same Upper Newtownards Road site, retaining much of the original front-of-house team. By day the dining room runs a relaxed all-day menu; in the evening it shifts into full brasserie service under executive chef Cath Gradwell. It is a single restaurant occupying one address in east Belfast, distinct from any of the area's other named venues, and the interior keeps the open, high-ceilinged feel established under its previous incarnation, now dressed for a more casual, neighbourhood crowd.
