Peak District Dairy is a family-run dairy farm on limestone grassland above Tideswell, at around 1,100 feet, run by the Walker family, who moved their herd to the present site in 1994 after generations of farming in the area. The dairy processes its own milk into cream, butter, farmhouse yoghurt and more than 30 flavours of ice cream, alongside a range of English and continental cheeses, free-range eggs and bread bought in from local suppliers. Produce is sold through the farm's own shop, where customers can call in to buy directly, and supplied to shops and cafes across the Peak District. The business has built a following locally for its ice cream, made from the milk of its own herd. Visitors reach the dairy via Sherwood Road on the edge of the village, a short distance from the centre of Tideswell.
