Piccoloco

Piccoloco began as a coffee van and trailer trading in Newcastle-under-Lyme's High Street market before its owners took premises on Hassell Street in 2023. The specialty coffee shop serves espresso alongside a food menu built around brunch dishes, working with a rotating selection of independent roasting partners rather than a single house blend. A second site opened on Ironmarket in September 2025 to run hospitality for Keele University's Keele in Town community hub. The original Hassell Street shop opens early, from 8am on weekdays, and stays open through the weekend. The name plays on the Italian word for small, a nod to the business's origins as a market stall.
