The Bothy

The Bothy is the licensed cafe attached to Braemar Mountain Sports on Invercauld Road, serving hearty breakfasts, brunch, and lunch alongside home baking and packed lunches for hikers heading into the hills. Outdoor seating overlooks the Clunie Water, and dogs are welcome at the tables. The outdoor shop it adjoins opened in 1986, originally hiring out cross-country skis and mountain bikes, and has since grown into an independent retailer with sister shops in Ballater and Aviemore either side of the Cairngorms. Customers can combine a coffee with boot fitting or custom orthotics next door.
