The Foghorn

The Foghorn is a micropub on Boundary Road, on the border between Hove and Portslade, opened in December 2018 by three friends, Tommy, Niall and Tim. Five cask ales are served on gravity from a cool room behind the small bar, alongside real ciders and craft beers on keg font, plus a wine selection, with an emphasis on Sussex producers. There are no fruit machines, jukebox or television; the pub is set up for conversation. It won Brighton & South Downs CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2024 and was named among the i newspaper's Top 20 Britain's Best New Pubs in 2019. Opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday 2-9pm, Friday and Saturday 12-10pm, and Sunday 12-6pm; closed Mondays.
