The Gated Garden is a permanent flower and plant stall in Borough Market's Three Crown Square, run by Sharon Crane since she left a corporate career to open it in 2013. The stall is stocked daily with cut flowers, seasonal potted plants, bulbs and small trees, alongside a changing selection of garden ornaments, vintage tools and terracotta pots sourced from growers and makers around the country. Crane and her small team make up bouquets and wreaths by hand at the stall rather than off site, and regulars come as much for advice on what will survive a London balcony as for the flowers themselves. Being part of Borough Market means the stall keeps market hours rather than shop hours, closed on Mondays like much of the market, and busiest at weekends when the square fills with visitors browsing the nearby food stalls.
