The LambInn Wantage

Thatched pub on Mill Street, licensed since 1650 and reckoned to be the oldest building in Wantage after the parish church. Its thatch survived a post-Great-Fire-of-London ban because the site once sat just outside the old town boundary. The pub has never changed hands on the open market, with only two landlords in the past fifty years, and serves real ale alongside a pub food menu.
