Steve Skinner's Truro alehouse outlived his brewery: when Skinner's went into administration in 2022, the pub — held separately, an individually owned freehold — simply carried on pouring. Eight continually changing casks, with small Cornish brewers well represented, plus real cider and craft keg, drunk over sawdust and monkey-nut shells in what was built in 1908 as the West End Drapery Stores on Quay Street. There is no kitchen, and bringing your own food is positively allowed; a quieter room upstairs doubles as the function space. Jam night every Monday, live bands at the weekend, and CAMRA's Kernow Pub of the Year back in 2017.
