The Old Stables is a three-room bed and breakfast in a 300-year-old timber-framed building on The Walk in Winslow, run by owner Jeff. Original oak beams remain exposed in the guest rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and guests share a sitting room with an open fire during colder months. A walled garden gives space to sit outside, and breakfast times are kept flexible rather than fixed to a single sitting, so early risers and late starters are both accommodated. There is no restaurant or bar on site: this is a straightforward, owner-run guesthouse rather than an inn with a public dining room. Wi-Fi runs throughout the building, and guests are free to use the shared living areas rather than being confined to their rooms, which gives the stay the feel of a private house rather than a hotel.
