The PennyRoaster

Coffee roastery in a barn on the Holbrook Road near Shotley, started in 2020 by Rich, who had run a specialty coffee house in Devon before moving to roasting. Blends are coded by ratio, so b5e5 is half Brazil and half Ethiopia. He buys through importers who know the growers, and began importing directly from a plantation in the Araku Valley in India at the end of 2023. Cupping sessions and roastery visits are offered to customers.
