Allan and Giulia opened The Whisky Room on Kempock Street in Gourock as a specialist whisky shop, later expanding into gin, rum, vodka and cigars. The couple choose stock from independent bottlers and small distilleries rather than the big blended brands, picking each bottle for its provenance and taste. The shop runs regular tasting events for customers wanting to try before committing to a full bottle, and takes online orders for in-store collection or delivery across the UK and internationally. It opens Tuesday to Saturday, with Thursday and Friday trading extended to half past five in the evening, and stays closed on Sundays and Mondays. The shop is a short walk from Gourock's railway station and ferry terminal, on Kempock Street in the town centre.
