Thomas William Jewellery is a working goldsmith's studio at Holme Grange Craft Village on Heathlands Road in Wokingham. Tom Murphy, a goldsmith with more than a decade of trade experience beforehand, started the business from a spare bedroom in 2015 before opening a first shop in 2017 and moving into a larger unit at the craft village the following year. Amanda joined in 2019 to run front of house, freeing Murphy to spend more time at the bench. The studio designs and makes bespoke pieces to order, with engagement rings and wedding bands in silver, gold, platinum and palladium as the core of the work, alongside ring resizing, repairs and the remodelling of old jewellery into new pieces. Customers can also have precious metal from unwanted jewellery melted down and reused in a new commission. Consultations are by appointment, and every piece is made on site rather than outsourced to a trade workshop.
