Mike and Luci brewed their first batch as a wedding favour in 2015, then spent a year travelling more than eighty-four thousand miles researching beer styles before founding Double-Barrelled properly on the Stadium Industrial Estate in Reading. The core range includes Parka, a pale ale, Ding, a 4.9% keller lager, and Kitchen Disco, a hazy IPA, alongside rotating releases such as a Czech-style pilsner called Plains. The taproom runs food from 7Bone alongside the beer list, with table bookings taken for groups and private events. Brewery tours run with tastings built in, walking visitors past the kit used to produce the mixed cases and barrel-aged specials sold through the shop. The site sits inside a working industrial estate rather than a converted pub, keeping production and the taproom under the same roof as a single-site operation.
