Pop Classics

Pop Classics occupies a unit in St Martin's Precinct in Caversham, opened by Damian Jones in September 2023 after more than two decades of selling vinyl and pop memorabilia online. Jones, who was born and raised in Reading, works as a consultant for the Record Collector Price Guide and has written sleeve notes for Acid Jazz Records; his wife Martina and daughter Maddie help run the shop. Stock is new and used vinyl and CDs across genres and budgets, refreshed daily, alongside pop and music memorabilia. It is the second dedicated record shop to open in Reading, after The Sound Machine in the town centre. The shop hosts appearances from local musicians and opens Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm, and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
