Angela Flanders opened her perfumery in a restored Victorian shop on Columbia Road in 1985, blending scent by hand in a trade almost no one practises at this scale any more. Since her death in 2016 her daughter has carried it on, keeping the perfume-making in the family and the shop exactly as it was — bottles, boxes, the smell of the place. It opens for the Sunday flower market and a few days besides. A genuine independent perfumer, one of a kind in London. Go in and follow your nose.
