Aunty Social

Aunty Social is a community arts organisation on Topping Street in Blackpool town centre, set up in 2011 by a group of friends and run as a Community Interest Company by volunteer directors. Since 2022 it has occupied a shopfront that pairs a retail space stocking work by more than 60 local artists, makers and designers with rooms used for craft workshops, meetings, a photography darkroom and screenings. The programme runs from craft clubs and life drawing to games nights and small exhibitions, with a stated focus on being an affordable, inclusive space for the town's creative community. The organisation was named among a national list of exciting small businesses in 2024. It sits a short walk from the Winter Gardens and the main shopping streets, one of several artist-led spaces that have grown up in the town centre.
