Belmont Larder

Belmont Larder opened in May 2023 at 71 Belmont Road, set up by chef Gary Jenkins, previously twenty years in professional kitchens, and his wife Sarah. The shop operates from a single premises opposite Morelli's ice cream parlour in east Belfast, selling fresh breads, pastries and traybakes baked in-house alongside gastropub-style ready meals and produce sourced from Irish suppliers. It functions as both a takeaway counter and small deli, open seven days a week: 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. The couple built the business around locally sourced ingredients rather than wholesale distribution. There are no other Belmont Larder branches. The shop has built a following among residents of the Belmont and Ballyhackamore area for its daily-changing bake list.
