Brinkburn Street Brewery was formed in Byker in January 2015 and first brewed from a unit on Brinkburn Street, the road it took its name from, before moving to larger premises on Ford Street in the Ouseburn valley in November 2017. Beer is still brewed on site, with around fifteen keg and cask lines running through the taproom downstairs and an events space called Maling Hall upstairs used for club nights and private parties. The kitchen serves alongside the beer list rather than as an afterthought, and the brewery keeps its own cellar for cask conditioning. It is closed on Mondays, unusual for a taproom that otherwise runs long hours through the rest of the week. The move from Brinkburn Street explains a name that no longer matches the current address.
