Brown's FamilyButchers

Brown's Family Butchers occupies a shop on Louth Road in the Scartho area of Grimsby, on the site of a former greengrocer's. Graham Brown opened the business in August 2013 with his wife Karen and son Alex, bringing more than forty combined years of butchery experience gained at other local shops and a supermarket meat counter before starting out on their own. The counter sells beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game sourced from farms in the region, alongside a deli case of cooked meats, cheeses and homemade pies. A bakery section and a range of ready meals sit alongside the fresh meat counter. The shop has picked up more than fifty trade awards for its products since opening, and deliveries run within a fifteen-mile radius of Grimsby for customers who cannot get to the shop in person. The Browns still run the counter themselves day to day, and the business has not expanded beyond the original Scartho premises since it opened just over a decade ago.
