Sea Charters Grimsby operates a single vessel, the Equaliser, from Alexandra Quay Marina at the mouth of the Grimsby docks. The boat is licensed to carry up to twelve passengers and two crew and is fitted with a covered deck, toilet facilities and space to serve hot drinks and snacks during a trip. Alongside private and commercial charter work, the business runs sightseeing trips into the Humber estuary and along the Lincolnshire coast, looking for grey seals, harbour porpoises and the marine bird colonies that nest on the estuary's sandbanks and sea defences. Trips can also be booked purely for coastal scenery or to visit sites of special scientific interest along the shoreline. The company runs from the same marina berth and does not operate any other vessels or locations. Bookings are taken by phone or email seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm, with trip timing dependent on tides and weather rather than a fixed timetable.
