The Ceres Inn stands at The Cross in the centre of Ceres village, a coaching inn that has traded continuously since 1721 under a succession of owners, the current one being Lennox Harrower, who has run the inn for more than a decade. The pub sits opposite the green where the Ceres Highland Games, reckoned the oldest free games in Scotland, have been staged since 1314, and Harrower marked the pandemic-cancelled 2020 games with a commemorative gin, followed by a celebratory whisky in 2025. Real ale is served through a single changing hand pull in the bar and beer garden, alongside bar meals from Weigh House Catering. The function room is used by the local Scout group and the Highland Games committee. Opening hours run from 4.30pm Tuesday to Thursday, extending to midnight at weekends, closed Mondays.
