Brewing came back to Cerne Abbas in 2014, when Vic Irvine and Jodie Moore set up in a barn at Barton Meadows Farm; Irvine died two years in, and the brewery has carried on under Moore with Danny England and Mark Richardson — a small independent working under the gaze of the hillside giant. The taproom pours the casks by gravity, with food from a cheese outfit most Saturdays and live music through the calendar; the Gurt Coconuts rum stout took bronze at the national Champion Beer of Britain finals in 2026.
