Cycle the City has hired out bikes and run guided tours from Bristol's harbourside since 2012, operating from a single base rather than a chain of outlets. Visitors can hire hybrid or adventure bikes by the day, or book onto guided rides such as the Best of Bristol tour, which takes in the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the SS Great Britain and the city's street art. Private tours and e-bike hire are also available, along with equipment like child trailers and travel cases. The company's base sits behind the Watershed on Canons Road, at the edge of the floating harbour. Tours are led by local guides rather than pre-recorded commentary, and routes are adjusted around weather and group ability. It remains independently run, without franchised branches elsewhere in the country.
