Bravas

Bravas began as a Spanish supper club run from the home of Kieran and Imogen Waite before the couple opened their first restaurant on Cotham Hill in April 2012. The single-site tapas restaurant serves classic dishes such as patatas bravas, croquetas and jamon alongside Spanish wines and sherries, with ingredients imported directly from Spain supplementing local produce. Seating is arranged around close-set tables in a converted shopfront, with extra covers at a marble-topped bar for solo diners. The Waites have since built other ventures in Bristol, but the Cotham Hill address remains their original restaurant and the only site trading under the Bravas name, typically busiest in the early evening when regulars call in for croquetas and a glass of manzanilla.
