Muiño takes its name from the Galego word for a windmill, and owners Emily and Alex Miller opened the small Cotham Hill restaurant to share the food of Galicia, the region in northwest Spain where family still keep a house. The menu runs to sharing plates rather than starters and mains: jamón croquetas, roasted butternut squash with romesco, harissa-marinated chicken thighs and oven-roasted cod, alongside vaca rubia gallega beef and a Spanish-leaning wine list. The room seats a small number of covers on a quiet pedestrianised stretch of Cotham Hill, and the kitchen has kept its Galician focus without diluting it into generic tapas. Vegan and vegetarian dishes sit on the same menu rather than a separate one. It closes all day Sunday and serves lunch only on Saturdays.
